Megapede horridus

Bristling Giant-feet, 3-4 feet long

Skull Island's huge centipedes were serious contenders as predators of the jungle undergrowth and dwarfed their offshore cousins. Several giant species prowled the leaf litter, eating invertebrates, rats, lizards and other small prey.

Megapede horridus was among the largest of these. The wriggling killer had strong legs for grabbling prey, pinning the struggling victim while its cruel venom took effect.
