Idolon illotus

Dirty Apparition, 10-14 inches long

A Megapede species of the Jungle canopy, Idolon illotus was voracious predator of the high canopy, where it tore along the branches in pursuit of Flizards. Contrasted with the heavyweight centipedes of the jungle floor, I. illotus was a lightly built sprinter. Its lethal venom killed small prey within moments of biting, thus reducing the risk of injury to the hunter.
