The fruit vendor was a merchant with an apple cart in the streets of New York during the Great Depression.
Biography
When Ann Darrow stole one of his apples (because of how hungry she was and didn't have money) the vendor grabbed her and asked angrilly if she was going to pay for the apple until Carl Denham saves Ann by giving the vendor a dollar.
In the 2005 version, when the vendor catches Ann stealing from his cart, Denham saves her by claiming that she dropped a quarter. It is unrevealed if he survived Kong's rampage
Behind the Scenes
- The vendor was portrayed by Paul Porcasi in the 1933 version of King Kong and Tiriel Mora in the 2005 version of the movie with the same name.
