Notable facts

This individual, only known as the Tenth Venture Crewman, was a sailor who was part of the SS Venture's crew. He was part of the search party that looked for Ann Darrow when she and the SS Venture's crew made land on Skull Island, where she was taken away by a massive ape known as Kong.

He survives the first half of the conflicts that arose in their expedition, up until the second conflict, where the crew came to rest in a narrow valley, where up ahead behind them where a group of Brontosaurs grazed before being startled by hunting Venatosaurs, where a stampede ensued in the narrow valley. He was caught up in the stampede, where he was the third to die in the stampede, when the narrow valley made a sharp curved turn on a collapsing cliff side due to the stampeding Brontosaurs. He runs to close to the cliff's edge, where he stumbles before finding his footing, but was unsuspectedly kicked by a slippering Brontosaurus, launching the crewman to his death.

He was portrayed by Frank Edwards.

Biography[]

The man was hired by Carl Denham to an expedition to Singapore (whom unbeknownst to him and the rest of the crew, were actually going to Skull Island), where he can be seen along with the others watching Ann Darrow and Jimmy dancing. Once Ann Darrow was given sacrifice to a giant ape called Kong, Captain Englehorn deployed a crew to find her, with this crewman being part of the Search Party.

Entering the dark forest of Skull Island, seen investigating behind one of the crewmen, several birds frightened one of the sailors, which caused an angry Ferrucutus to storm out of the dead bush and attack the crew, hitting several sailors, where the tenth Venture crewman survived without being hit by the angry ceratopsian. Afterwards, the crew wandered through a rainforest creek full of giant dragonflies, where they eventually wandered into a temple-like gorge, where they rested for a few moments, where he and the crew find a large footprint of Kong. Eventually, the gorge is rumbling with rocks falling, where the Crewman carefully looked above and his firearm down. Once the footprints became louder, he ran into the gorge with the rest, where he ran to take off running into the gorge with one of the crewmen near his age running alongside him, following Bruce Baxter, who ran up ahead of the Crewmen.

Once the stampeding Brontosaurs came through the valley, he, alongside the crew, where caught in the stampede. Though he disappears into the stampede, the stampede escalated when the gorge ended in a sharp turn, with the turn being a craggy, slippery cliff side. Once the brontosaurs and the crewmen arrived at the cliff side, the cliff side started to collapse due to the weight of the brontosaurs. This crewman ran behind Jimmy, where he was running too close to the cliff side edge. Stumbling, he finds his footing at the edge of the cliff side, but unbeknownst to him, a stumbling brontosaur was behind, and before he could react, the slippering brontosaur's front right foot slipped off the cliff, resulting in it accidentally killing the crewman.

Once he is kicked, he releases his Mauser Gewehr from his hand and flails his arms into the thousand-feet deep jungle as he screams from being kicked by the brontosaur. He is essentially killed from this accidental kick. Following this, the slippering brontosaur fell and too fell to its death, alongside other slippering brontosaurs.
